The Winnipeg Children’s Choir has released its first recording! The new record entitled Praise is a compilation of Traditional Christmas music and Sacred music for throughout the seasons. This CD features an ensemble of young singers between the ages of 7 and 12, many of whom are showcased in their first recorded solos and duets. Praise has been well received and we hope many more enjoy discovering our music in the future.
The Making of...
We had a great time recording this album in late May 2012. It was a beautiful and sunny day when we arrived very early at the studio to set up. It was a long day but we worked hard and accomplished a lot. The choir was lucky to find Grassroot Sounds Studio situated on a spacious lot where the choristers were able to run around outside while solos were recorded and during lunch. A big thank you to our parent volunteers for making it possible for Judy, Kim and Arlene to keep working through the breaks. When all the work was done, it was off to the park where parents and a BBQ were waiting. A great end to the day!!! Thank you parents!
